Food Exploration sessions
Food exploration sessions offer compassionate support for children, teens, and adults navigating ARFID or severe picky eating. Together, we address sensory hurdles whether it is texture, taste, smell, or appearance, that lead to avoiding fruits, vegetables, proteins, or anything unpredictable, while honouring "safe foods" like plain rice, bread, crackers, or cereal that feel reliable.

How Sessions Work
Every step unfolds at a comfortable pace, with no pressure, just small, meaningful progress:
-
We start by mapping current preferences, safe foods, and avoided groups to understand what feels challenging.
-
Through playful, gradual exposures (seeing, smelling, touching, then tasting if ready), we build familiarity with new items using food chaining from familiar bases.
-
45–60 minute sessions include hands-on activities, parent guidance, and simple trackers to celebrate wins like reduced anxiety or one new texture tolerated.
